can anyone give me the forensic psychology for dummies explanation for good smaritan laws and the right of dut

Different countries have different laws concerning the acts of good Samaritans. Some countries protect good Samaritans by eliminating any judicial repercussions which may emanate from a good Samaritan’s act.

Other countries have laws which force citizens to act as good Samaritans when the need arises or be punished in some way.

I don’t believe that you can instill the trait of wanting to help others through any legislation. We must hope that our citizens will act appropriately when an emergency occurs. But, I don’t believe that we should punish people if they don’t get involved. Some people cannot react in an emergency because of past experiences, inherited tendencies and/or general lack of interest.

However, we, as a society, can strive to instill positive attributes into our citizens by setting good examples and praising the ones who do step forward to help.

This attitude should come from the heart and must be slowly embraced by the whole society before we can expect a majority of our citizens to act is a responsible manner.
